Does monitoring require administrator access?
Normal monitoring does not. Only Keyboard Comfort Mode asks you to enable and approve a privileged helper that can raise fan speed. Turning the feature off or quitting KernPulse returns control to macOS.
Will it automatically clear memory or quit apps?
No. KernPulse has no “free RAM” button and never pauses or terminates a process without authorization. Every action is confirmed by you or allowed through a pre-authorization rule you created.
Why are temperature or GPU readings missing on some Macs?
Different Mac models expose different sensors and performance fields. KernPulse hides unavailable items or shows a dash; it never fills missing system data with estimates.
