PRIVACY / COOKIES

Privacy & Cookie Notice

1. Scope and operator

This notice applies to kernpulse.com, operated for the KernPulse product. Questions or privacy requests can be raised through the official KernPulse repository.

The KernPulse macOS app is separate from the website. App monitoring and diagnosis stay on the Mac and are not sent to Google Analytics.

2. Essential storage

The website stores kernpulse.analytics-consent.v1 in your browser’s local storage to remember whether you accepted or rejected optional analytics. This is necessary to preserve your privacy choice. It remains until you change the choice, clear site data, or your browser removes it.

Cloudflare provides content delivery, security, and a cookie-free Web Analytics performance beacon. The beacon sends page path and referrer, browser, device and operating-system information, country-level location, navigation timing and Core Web Vitals, plus a transient page-load identifier. Cloudflare states that it uses no cookies or local storage and does not fingerprint individuals. It does not receive Mac system data or the custom Google Analytics download event.

3. Optional analytics cookies

Google Analytics 4, Measurement ID G-GXFJXLY8FT, loads only after you select “Accept all.” It may then set analytics cookies including _ga and _ga_*.

We send page path and title, website language, download CTA position, app version, DMG file name and extension, source domain, and the sanitized download link without its query string. We accept only these campaign parameters: utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, utm_content, and utm_term. Campaign values are limited to 1–80 Unicode letters or numbers plus ., _, ~, and -; values containing spaces, email syntax, or any other characters are discarded.

Google Analytics may also create standard client and session identifiers, emit lifecycle events such as first_visit, session_start, and user_engagement, and process browser, device, and approximate-location information.

We do not send Mac system vitals, process lists, file contents, account data, full referrer paths, or query parameters outside that UTM allowlist.

4. Purpose, legal basis, and retention

Optional Google Analytics is used to understand page use and download intent so the website can be improved; its legal basis is your consent. Event-level Google Analytics data is retained for no longer than 14 months; aggregated reports may remain after event-level data expires.

Cloudflare services are used to deliver, secure, and monitor the aggregate performance of the website. Cloudflare Web Analytics is not used to recognize visitors or build individual profiles. Cloudflare states that unsampled beacon data is retained for seven days and then aggregated and sampled for longer-term reporting.

5. Service providers and transfers

Google provides Analytics and processes analytics data under its own safeguards and service terms. Depending on your location, data may be processed outside your country. See Google’s Privacy Policy and Google Analytics Terms.

Cloudflare provides hosting, delivery, security, and cookie-free website performance measurement. See Cloudflare’s Privacy Policy and Cloudflare Web Analytics documentation.

Advertising storage, Google Signals, and ad-personalization signals are disabled by this website. Analytics data is not sold by KernPulse.

6. Your choices and rights

You can reject non-essential cookies and still read the website or download KernPulse. To withdraw or change consent, use “Cookie preferences” in the footer or on this page. Withdrawing consent removes accessible Google Analytics cookies and reloads the page without the Google tag. Cloudflare’s cookie-free aggregate performance beacon is separate from this optional-cookie choice.

Subject to applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or objection, and may complain to your local data-protection authority.

7. Changes

Material changes to analytics categories or purposes will be reflected here and, where required, will trigger a new consent request.
